I’m very pleased to announce that my friend Christa and I have started a new video series called “Tico-ish.” She’s the mind behind Pura Vida Moms, a great new website about parenting, Costa Rica, and bilingualism, among other topics.
Yep, that’s me on the right and no, I don’t know what happened.
She and I are both high school friends that ended up marrying Costa Ricans from the same town. She and her husband live in Denver and I live here in Costa Rica with my wife. In the series we’ll be talking about life in Costa Rica, being married to Costa Ricans, and many other topics of interest.
You can check out the first episode here, and you can read her take on it on her website. This first one is a basic introduction to let you know who we are, how we met, and how we ended up becoming Costa Rican-ish.
Oh, and I know that both the sound and the picture are horrible on my end. But it’s called authenticity. The internet is really bad here in Costa Rica, and this video proves it. Seriously, though, I am trying to figure out other solutions to make it less terrible in the future. My brother even does sound for a living, so I know that I should be ashamed of myself.
In the meantime, let either of us know what you think we should talk about in the future. Thanks for reading and watching!
